Children's Activities

The average household size of both non-hispanic and hispanic festival attendees is greater than the average Iowa household size, meaning that festival attendees value the family-friendly environment of the festival.  Activities ranging from jumping castles to pinata making.  The vision of providing hands on educational activities for children has guided the festival from the start.  This year there were more hands on children's activities than ever, helping to accomplish a cultural exchange and affirmation so important to society and which most Iowa children do not experience in school.
