Annual Iowa College and University Student Poster Contest
Call For Entries
Deadline: April 14, 2008
Latino Resources, Inc. will be holding its fourth annual student poster contest for the 2009 Latino Heritage Festival in Des Moines, Iowa. This competition is open to all students currently enrolled in an Iowa College or University. This is an opportunity to showcase your design skills within Iowa and it’s surrounding states. The first place award is a $1,000 scholarship, 2nd place is a $500 scholarship and third place is a $300 scholarship. The winning poster will be displayed throughout the state of Iowa and it’s surrounding states as well as on billboards, mall kiosks, latinoheritagefestival.org, advertisements, and displayed at the festival.

2008 Poster Contest Winner and Recipient of a $1,000 scholarship Laura Hersom

| Laura Hersom is a senior at Simpson College in Indianola, IA. On campus, she is an Undergraduate Assistant to Admissions and is involved in several groups and organizations. Laura belongs to the honorary leadership society Omicron Delta Kappa and honorary theatre society Alpha Psi Omega. Off campus, Laura interns at Deloitte and Touche U.S.A. In May, she will graduate from Simpson with a Marketing Major and Minors in Art, Corporate Communication, and Management. | |
