Entertainment
Iowa’s Latino Heritage Festival offers the public entertainment never before seen in Iowa.
One can attend this event and see constant entertainment on the stage and in the streets throughout the entire day. The headliners of the festival are chosen carefully as the festival coordinator must be sensitive to the diversity within the Latino community. This is no easy task! Fortunately, the festival planner has been able to obtain talent from all over the Midwest to meet these needs. Salsa groups have been brought in to offer the overall community with exciting sounds that the young and the not so young can enjoy as a spectator or as a participant dancing the night away!!
Beautiful dancers from the Caribbean, Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico and performances of Aztec dancers all in traditional costumes thrill audiences. You may experience the sounds of violins, trumpets, and guitars of the Mariachi. Mariachi often help celebrate the great moments in the lives of the Mexican people. You can enjoy the sounds of the heart and soul of Mexico.
A goal of this event is to flourish and grow to become an Iowa tradition by showcasing performers of their arts and talents.
